Hi There,

This Is Daniel Lee

My name is Daniel. I currently work as an UI/UX Design Intern at a SaaS company, and I have started my first year of master's degree at the Institute of Service Science at National Tsin Hua University. I believe that cooperative work can empower both the team and the human, which is the momentum of creating a better world.

I dedicate myself to planning and executing user research and designing user experience based on business goals. During my current job, I am responsible for designing the onboarding experience and redesign the sign-up flow. I also advocated, planned and executed usability tests and cognitive walkthroughs.

I used to design information architecture and planned experience strategy for a domestic enterprise. I used to lead a UX team in a student organization, NCTU+, introducing the lean UX process and enhanced project delivery rates by 100%. 

For the extracurricular activities, I am used to be the team lead or user research lead in innovation competitions like Transaction Award and Tourtech Award. We won the Promising Star Award in Transaction Award and got into the final in Tourtech Award. Some organizations have invites me to facilitate a design workshop. During the facilitation, I focus on how to evoke the team performance, and make innovative ideas more easily to be generated.

I also actively participate and devote myself in communities. In addition to the volunteers of conference or events, I found UX/UI Rookies Community to help the starter in this field. My medium account has accumulate over 400 followers and I wrote articles regularly.

I conducted usability tests with 2 participants, generating insights to drive design iterations. This is the very first time that BotBonnie conducts user research, and I received a lot of positive internal feedback.

BotBonnie used to have great dropout rates from signing-up to create the user's first bot project. I was responsible for redesigning the sign-up flow to improve the conversion rates.

Symphony Redesign

Remote Internship Project

NTU COOL is the next-generation digital learning platform adapted by National Taiwan University. The product team at Digital Learning Center built a collaborative annotation tool called Symphony to help students better read the readings online.

I was responsible for redesigning the user flow and user interface of Symphony to enhance the usability and interactions between teachers and students.

Transaction Awards 2018: Top 10

Financial management is the most indispensable life skill in life, but the cultivation of this skill is likely to be ignored in the process of growth. We have found that many people in the young community have tried to understand stock investment information but have never invested. Even though many financial institutions are currently planning financial services for these people, the problem has not been completely solved.

We have designed a stock investment learning app to help users accumulate knowledge assets, communicate with the community and improve their quality of life in a relaxed and unburdened situation.

Tourism innovation & Tech Awards 2019: Top 10

According to data from the US Kidney Registry System, nearly 90,000 people in Taiwan have dialysis, and the number of dialysis patients is the highest in the world.

 

Based on our questionnaire and interview survey, after the kidney disease, the number of people accompanying the tour increased, and the medical equipment such as medicine affected the weight of the baggage, which seriously affected the travel experience.

 

The "KiGo" app is a close-knit secretary of Kidney Friends. It provides a one-stop service for "food, medical, living and traveling" before, during and after the trip, so that the kidney disease patients can travel with peace of mind, intimacy and no burden.

​Arranging courses' timetable has always been students' biggest challenge in the beginning of every semester. We have conducted a research and find that people will search for courses' reviews in various channel, finding the criteria of graduation in many places including the website or office of their department. Our challenge is to integrate the massive information into our website, easing the pain of finding and searching the pieces. At the same time we want to enrich the content of the review in our website, which also rises the issue of how to motivate users to post their review.

I conducted a research on the topic of companion robots for elderly people. I finished this side project in 4 days, proposing 2 personas and the design strategy as my practice of several research and design tools.

This project addressed the problem of bike sharing on campus in NTHU, Taiwan. We cooperated with T-bike team, and came out with the design solution for bike distribution, which is the combination of technology and policy, motivating T-bike users move bikes from low to high terrain.

UX, App, Sharing Community

Sharing is one of good ways for dealing with surplus foods, one of the big problem and issue all over the world, especially in Taiwan with high density of population. Yet recent solutions for food sharing arouse several issues which reduce the willingness and efficiency. Our research conducted user-centered design process, proposing an app design, which includes personalized recommendation system, dealing procedure, and a reputation system as the solution to the problem.

Trough practicing design website with code, I can make more efficient communication with engineers in the UX design process. 

HCI, UI/UX, Live Streaming Community

EZcook is a HCI study on how to enhance the efficiency of learning physical task. We took cooking as our research target and developed our design based on crowdsourcing and gamification mechanism. In the end we built a website that allows novice learners to start live streams and audiences to watch them and give instant advices.
